Daddy... you're the greatest...

Maybe that's not what this card says, but this saying reminds me of that saying... okay... I'm weird.... I can live with it.

Here's one of my Dad's Day cards for Stampin' Royalty's challenge this week. I am seriously getting this in right before the buzzer, but all that matters is I am getting it in! AND in addition to that challenge, my daily personal challenge is still rolling with this card (and there's another one I want to make today!)

Most of the Father's Day cards I've made have been very vintage, old world looking with the old timey sailboat from The Open Sea set or the Motorcycle stamp. I wanted to something different. I saw a sign while walking into a store at the mall a few days ago and go the idea for this card!

I am not sure where I got the color idea for this one. I looked into the bright section. Again, I wanted something different. I started with a base of Tempting Turquoise. I stamped the D, A, D on Whisper White with the VersaMark and then embossed it in clear. Then I sponged turquoise ink all over the white paper. I layered that on Pumpkin Pie, and layered that on Rich Razzleberry. I stamped a tie from the Best Dad Ever set in Razzleberry and cut it out. I used a "pumpkin" colored brad in the center of my tie and popped him up on the 'A'. I used the same colors of paper and ink to add the sentiment "best" and "ever." I used the tab punch to make it more manly. I felt like it needed something more so I layered the punch pieces, too. Inside is the message, "Happy Father's Day."

Thanks for looking!
