Valentine's Day Open House

Okay, here's my vision: (it's really simple) I'm going to put out a bunch of Valentine's stamps and paper, and I am going to hang up a bunch of my cards for examples and you can copy one of mine or create one of your very own!

I will have my doors open from 2-6, so if you want to finish your card, be sure to get here by 5 so you have time to finish it.

Each card you make will include an envelope and is $3.00, so get your lists together, and write the date on the calendar!

Sunday, February 8th from 2-6pm.

Please let me know if you are planning on coming so I know to expect you.
I was going masculine here.
This one is totally non-traditional, and I totally love it! Also, it's quite masculine.
Traditional and bold!
I love the gray and black layers and then that POP of red glitter paper.
You gotta have one in pink....

I hope to see you on the 8th! A perfect one for mommy-daughter fun!

Let's Flock Together- Take Two

It's here!  The next class.  As promised at my last class, the next one would use this awesome 4 stamp set, Four Feathers.  I LOVE it!  What's even cooler is that there are dies that cut those feathers out perfectly.  And those tools will help us create these 8 beautiful, elegant, natural cards.  I love them so much! #proud

Seven out of the 8 cards follow a very similar color palette of blues, greens, and grays.

Here are 4 more cards for you.

You can change the sentiment on any card to create more of the kinds of cards you need.
I will be offering this class on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 am. and this time is flexible!  If you need to come later in the day, let me know.  We'll find a time that works for both of us.

You'll make all 8 cards for $20.00.

Note: the more people at this class, the longer it will take for everyone to cut stamp and cut feathers.  Some feathers will be made for you for the sake of  time.

Also, I need your RSVP by April 5th.
If you love these cards and want to buy a set, I can make a set for you for $30.00.  They make a great gift.  Let me know and I will take care of you!  I can ship!
I hope to see you on April 7th to make these awesome cards.  Please be sure to let me know by April 5th so you don't miss out!

'Tis the Season, challenge 34, a sketch challenge

Once again, when I first saw this sketch, I thought, "What in the h..."  However, my stumpedness (it's a word... look it up) lasted only a short while.

It hit me that the stars from the sketch had to be snowflakes.  I also knew that I had to create one of those punch art snowmen... because they're cute and because I love them.

I decided to put my sentiment on the inside of this one.

Head on over to 'Tis the Season and check out what the rest of the team did with the sketch; then have a go at it!

It's Never Too Early For Butterflies

I've been playing with my new butterflies thinlit dies from Stampin' Up.

I tend to like simpler cards, but this is beautiful and simple.  You could fancy up this card really easily!

Here are some closeups, too...

More Scraps For You

Since I'm not allowed to bring my finals out of school to grade (like I really would have done them tonight anyway), I decided to play.

I'm still feeling scrappy and made this card.

I loved it so much, I made two!  :)  So cute and sweet... L.O.V.E.!

Thanks for looking!

Feeling Scrappy

I was trying to straighten up the studio this weekend after the mad Christmas rush and found a pile of ideas I put together for scraps of DSP.

These are a few that I made using the hex punch.  I love how easy these are to line up! Add a few butterflies, a few pearls, a sentiment of need... and ta-da!
So you see the subtle differences between the two?
And here, I used the straight side triangle to create a banner.
A slightly different card following the same basic pattern.

I love this kind of creating!  Stay tuned for more!

Happy New Year! Let the Creating Begin!

 Welcome to 2015!

You know what the new year means to me, right?  Sale-A-Bration time!  Each year, Stampin' Up begins the year right with their SAB program.  Buy any $50.00 of product and receive a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

In honor of this wonderful time of year, I have put together a SAB class to show you some of the sets I chose.  If you'd like to earn it for free, I can help you!
Just look at this gorgeous Lotus Blossom!  I swear to you, you cannot mess this up!  The stamp is a 3 step stamp, and I am going to show you how you can create a beautiful flower using ONE ink color!  Yes!  It's so awesome!

We'll make 6 cards featuring 5 of the SAB products!  This class features 2 SAB stamp sets, 2 different kinds of SAB designer series paper, and SAB ribbon and buttons!
The details:

I am offering the class twice!  Hopefully one of the times works for you.  The class is offered on Monday, January 19th at 10:00 am and again on Saturday, January 24th at 10:00 am.

You'll make all 6 beautiful cards for $15.00.  I hope you can make it!

'Tis the Season, challenge 33, a color challenge

When I saw this color combination, I thought, "Oh, no!" But this card came together way easier than I thought it would.

I have had this three ornament sketch idea in my head for a bit, waiting to use it when the time was right.

Today the time was right.  This actually came together quickly; I was trying to include a bit of each color on each of the ornaments.

I'm super proud of how it came out!

Why do you see what you can come up with?

Just head on over to 'Tis the Season and see what you can come up with!

On a roll now...

Two challenges in one day after no challenges for months?  Yes, I can do it...

This challenge is presented to us by Stampin' Royalty, a great challenge blog.  Love it.

Their challenge was to use the colors Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb Cake together.  Since I was working on Valentine's Day cards, this card was born.

I love the masculine quality of it.  Not every card can be girly and frilly.

I hope you like it!  Thanks for looking!

An Even Longer Time

If you think it's been a long time since I posted, it's been an even longer time since I created a card for a challenge (other than 'Tis the Season, of course).

So today I am playing along with the color challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary. Their challenge to us was Real Red, Calypso Coral, and Basic Black.

I am working on Valentine's Day cards, and here's what I came up with...

Long Time...

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything besides my cards for the 'Tis the Season Christmas card challenge blog.  However, this break I have been on a mission to create.

I decided to post one of the cards that I created to day for Valentine's Day.

I love how it turned out!  So girly and sweet.
