Calendar Pads

Here is the second February Class that I am offering this year!  It's a calendar pad and holder!  There's trees on the inside, trees on the outside...

Here you can see the inside and the pad that's there...
Here's a closeup of the calendar part of the pad.  You can customize each month for whatever your needs are.  Need to remember birthdays?  Need to plan meals?  Just need a place to record monthly events for the family?  You can do any and all of that on these calendars!

I have a wide variety of pads to choose from.  It will be first come first served.  I will be offering this class on February 22 (any time after 5) or February 23rd (any time you are available).  Please let me know you are coming and which day you are coming when you RSVP.  Please RSVP by February 20th.  Each pad is $10.00.

Two For One Class!

 Welcome to 2013!

I wanted to start us off this year with a Two For One class...

Two sketches for the price of one!  You can see 6 pictures here, two cards for each sketch.

The class will have a total of 8 cards and will feature some of the new sets in the spring catalog AND this year's Sale-A-Bration catalog.  I don't even have all my supplies yet, but I have the cards designed!

This card class features 8 cards, these 6 (which are not 100% complete... I'm waiting for my new stamp order and my new toys... punches and stamp sets!)

You can make all 8 cards for $20.00

I'll be offering this class on February 8 at 5:00 or later and again on February 9th at any time during the day.  Please let me know which day/time you will be coming when you RSVP.

One of my favorite things about stamping is that you can customize any of these cards.  You can make them birthday cards, thank you cards, or whatever card you need!  Love it!
For this card, you can make it as is, but I have a special new floral set coming that I also think would work on this one!

Please let me know if you're going to make it!  I'd love to create with you.  Please RSVP by February 6th.

Still...Seriously...Struggling...

Okay...here's the deal... just because this card is really really cute does not mean that it was easy to achieve.  What I started out making was so far from this... Different stamp set, different colors, different layout.  But see, it was seriously not working and so I scraped that whole idea (after trying things multiple ways) and moved on to this card.  I used the color challenge over on Fab Friday (Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, and Very Vanilla.  I wanted a birthday card with brads so I could mash-it-up with the ladies over on The Friday Mashup.  I embossed the Pool Party with the fan envelope.  I pierced the paper on the pink paper.  I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and I have 3 cobbler brads at an angle... I wanted it to be different.  I also embossed the base of the card with the tulip frame and I sponged it a bit in Crumb Cake.

Thanks for looking!

Final Duo

This is my final card for the Dynamic Duo challenge. I used Real Red and Basic Black to create this card.  It's on a base of Whisper White.  I also used another word on velum piece that I had.  It says "True Love" a perfect Valentines saying for the dessert option on DD.  The black layer is embossed with hearts.  Finally, I added some Dazzling Diamonds on the flower.

Still Looking...

So one of the things I found in my stash was a whole folder of these words/sayings on velum paper.  I do love these.  I decided to make a few cards using two that struck me.

This is actually the second of the two that I made.  I made this one with the color challenge over on Dynamic Duos: Real Red, Basic Black with an option to add in a Valentines theme.

I embossed my black layer with a XOXO embossing folder I found.  The velum is layered on red, and the best way I've found to attach velum with no tape or glue showing is to use brads.  So technically, this could also be entered into The Friday Mashup's challenge this week.  One of their two options is to use brads.

I like it.  I don't LOVE it.  I will proudly give it.  My mojo is still missing....

Thanks for looking!

Hello? Mojo??

I am still missing my mojo.  I did wake up with a vision of something in a set of three... again I needed to keep it simple.  My vision included using one of the framelits to create a background piece.  I combined this vision with the color challenge on Dynamic Duos: Real Red and Basic Black, with the dessert option of a Valentines theme.  Oh, dessert?  Yes, please!  That would be my trio in the middle.  To kick it up a notch, I punched red glitter paper using my favorite heart of the heart trio punch. I used that shape in black and pierced the paper with that design (are there names for the shapes??)  I added the sentiment from Teen Tiny Wishes in Real Red.

It's cute.  I love it.  But my mojo is still not really here... I'm just not feeling it...

But thanks for looking!

I am Missing My Mojo...

Has this ever happened to you?  I haven't had the opportunity to work for well over two weeks and now I have time... no mojo... I check out some blog challenges for inspiration... no mojo... I got to some of my sketches I've saved... no mojo...  I go back to  a clean and simple blog because I really need to start simple.  I've got NOTHING, people.  Nothing.

I decided to push it and went with the sketch challenge over on Clean & Simple.  They provided a nice simple sketch for me to start with.
I have mentioned before that I am doing a card ministry: Caring Cards.  I get the names of 3 people in my church each week who could use a little love snail mail style that week and then write and send thee cards.  I love the impact this is having on the people around me and on me!  It's so awesome to do for other people.

Anyways, I am always in some need for these kinds of cards so for this batch, I looked around me at some of the hoards of stuff I have and thought, "What can I put in here?"  I've had these paper flowers for-eve-err.  So I used a big one and a small one for each card, with a snazzy brad in the center.
It was missing something (see the pink left card).  So... I went to my ribbon wall and started matching from there.

I am fairly pleased with the results, but I'm not so pleased that I know my mojo is back.

Stay tuned for the next round...
...and thanks for looking!

Before You Know It...

...Valentine's Day will be here!  So when I saw The Friday Mashup's challenge this week, I knew that I had to create a Valentine's Day card.

This week over on the Mashup we got a sketch challenge, or create a project with hearts, or mash-it-up and do both.

This card does both.  I went totally Valentine.  I started with a base of Pink Pirouette.  On top of that is a layer of Crumb Cake stamped with my woodgrain stamp using Crumb Cake ink.  The strip down the right side is Rose Red, embossed with a XOXO embossing envelope.  My sentiment is from Wacky Wishes stamped in Real Red ink on Whisper White that sits atop a layer of Pretty in Pink.  There is strip of Real Red at the bottom of the sentiment.  Then I used my three heart punch and punched a bunch of hearts in pink, red, and rose.  I adhered the hearts to a 3/4" circle punch and popped those up.
Awww. It's so cute!

Snow Trouble at All...

I got this snowman too late to use for my holiday cards, but I wanted to use this stamp set. So I used the inspiration from The Friday Mashup challenge (I just used the sketch part of the challenge) and Stampin' Royalty's color challenge this week: Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.  I also used the Snow Much Fun stamp set.

A Fabulously Dynamic Due

A few more cards for my card ministry- Caring Cards.  I love how this is being received!

I combined the sketch challenge this week on Fab Friday (I turned the sketch) and the Dynamic Duo color challenge: Melon Mambo and Island Indigo.

I also used Trust God and Summer Silhouettes sets. My neutral color is River Rock and Whisper White.

Sunday Stamp-in' Royalty

I made these cards for my card ministry- Caring Cards.  I send three cards a week out to church members in need of a pick me up.  I am loving this ministry!

I used the sketch challenge on Sunday Stamps and the color challenge on Stampin' Royalty: to use Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.

I used Crosses of Hope and Trust God sets.  I love the sentiment.

I was also grateful for these two challenges because they made it pretty easy.
