'Tis the Season Challenge #49, a Sketch Challenge

This is my take on the new challenge on 'Tis the Season.

I was looking at my stamps for something big to fill up that square.  I used this big poinsettia.  I went with that theme for the embossing folder, too.  I added a Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon.

On the flower itself, I inked it in black and then stamped it off once.  Then I used my blender pen to color that flower in.  I also used some gold metallic ink to create the berries and to add a bit of gold on the flowers.
I added my sentiment on before I colored in the flower, embossing it in gold to match the paper and the berries.

Inside, a lovely message to the receiver of this card

Why don't you try?  The sketch is below.  Once you've created your masterpiece, you can add it to the page at 'Tis the Season and show us what you came up with.

Class Opportunity- Four Card Gift Sets

Photos don't do these sets justice!

This class will be a bit different; I'll have papers ready for sets of 4.  There will be lots of different choices to make.  You just need to give me an idea of how many gift sets you want to make.

You can make one set for $10.  Each additional set is only $5.00 each!!!!

Just think... birthday gifts, hostess gifts, teacher gifts, neighbor gifts, hostess gifts, stocking stuffers (gasp!  I know... I said it!)

You will have lots of options.
Come and join us on Friday, September 11th at 4:00!
(What you can't see very well in this picture is that there is a white on white layer with the top layer embossed with different folders... trust me... they are gorgeous.

Please RSVP by Wednesday September 9th.  Please let me know (about) how many sets you plan on making.  I will have lots of patterned paper available to choose from, and you will have awesome gifts that you will be sooooooo proud of!

I hope to create with you soon!

'Tis the Season, a Color Challenge!

This time, we have a color challenge for you guys!  These are some pretty non-traditional Christmas colors, and I took the directions literally and did change a few things up.  I used Old Olive instead of the Always Artichoke.  I also used So Saffron instead of Daffodil Delight, and Melon Mambo instead of the Strawberry Slush (but those two are so close to each other anyway...)

I am really happy with how it came out.  I used a blender pen to color in the tree; I think it's a little softer that way, don't you?

Why don't you try and play along? Don't forget to go to 'Tis the Season and add your card to play along!
