Man... Where's My Dude Card?

You asked for them, and I've got your dude cards right here!  Eight of them, to be exact.  This isn't the world's best picture, but maybe you can see them better in the pictures below.

Here's the point:  you'll be making eight beautiful, unique, one of a kind, 100% natural, manly man cards.

I'll be holding the class on Friday, June 11th, just in time for Father's Day!  We'll make all 8 cards for $20.00

If you want to make the cards but can't make the time the class is being offered, please let me know.  I'll arrange a time with you to make them.  If you want me to make the cards for you, you can let me know that, too!  I can make you this set for $30.00.

Check out the close ups of the cards and see what you think.

Please RSPV by the 9th of June.

I hope to create with you soon!

Open Seas and The Friday Mashup

This week on the Friday Mashup, the designers have given us a challenge for a nautical themed card or project.  We could also do a one layer card or mash-it-up and do both.  I wasn't feeling a one layer card so I just went with the nautical theme.

I was looking to make one more card for my next all dude card class and this does just perfectly.

I started with a Chocolate Chip base.  It has a layer of Very Vanilla that has been stamped, also stamped in Chocolate Chip (stamped off once to lighten up the image a bit).  That stamp is the new world  map stamp.  The tag on the front was made by stamping the ship, the anchor, and the compass from the Open Sea set.  I used Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, and Midnight Muse ink.  The tag is attached to a layer of Midnight Muse.  To end, I stapled a chocolate ribbon to the tag, added the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and I popped the whole thing up!

Dude class complete!  Thanks for inspiration, Friday Mashup!  Thanks for looking...

Thanks for the Gifts...

This is another entry for the color challenge on The Color Throwdown, except that I mixed up some colors with a couple challenges that I was working on.  Instead of adding Basic Gray, I used Basic Black.  Oops.  However, I used Certainly Celery and Tangerine Tango.

I created this card using a new embossing folder that was a gift from a friend.  The card is my thank you card to her for her gift of embossing folders.  The base is Certainly Celery.  Next is a layer of Basic Black.  On top of that is the embossed Tangerine Tango layer.  I also used my brayer and Tangerine Tango to just hit the raised points of embossed image.  I added in the sentiment on a banner and wrapped the center panel with celery ribbon.

I know she'll love it.

Friday Mashup and Colour Q Two-fer

This is the card I created for the week's sketch challenge on The Friday Mashup.  I picked the colors to play along with the color challenge on Colour Q.  They offered us the color challenge of Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Lucky Limeade, newsprint,  and Whisper White.
This is another card that I'll be adding to my man card class.

I love this!

Thanks for looking!

'Tis the Season Challenge #12

The ladies on 'Tis the Season have a color challenge for us this week!  The colors are Garden Green, Real Red, and Soft Sky with the option for adding Candy Canes.

Sooooooooo.... here's what I came up with.  My base is Garden Green.  On top of that is a layer of Soft Sky.  On top of that is an embossed layer of Real Red.  Then I added a row of three candy canes.  I know you can't see it in the pic, but they are embossed with clear embossing powder so they are nice and shiny.  My sentiment is stamped in red on soft sky, punched out using the medium oval on a scalloped green oval.  Both the candy canes and the oval are popped up.  In addition the Soft Sky/Real Red layer are popped up.

I originally was stumped by the color combo, but when I focused on the candy cane option, it all quickly came together.  I am quite happy with the results!  It's a simple and easy card, fast to create multiple copies if necessary.

Give it a try!  Head on over to 'Tis the Season Stamping blog and play along with us!

Second March Class- March 28th

Here's another class for you all with even more flowers (if we channel enough spring thinking, maybe it will finally come around!)
This class features another book that holds 4 beautiful general use cards that have four different sentiments:  hi, life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful, thinking of you, and thank you.

It makes a great gift for birthdays, Mother's Day, or even for yourself (you know you deserve one!)

I'll offer this class on March 28th at 4:00.  The cost is $15.00.
I love these cards!  All feature a flower (or flowers) from Stampin' Up's new sets Peaceful Petals and Perfect Pennants.

As always, if you can't make it at the time this class is offered, let me know and I'll prep the materials for you to make at another time (we'll arrange one that does work for you).  If you want to purchase the set from me, I'm happy to make it for you.  Again, just let me know.

Come join us in making this fabulous set!  Please let me know by Thursday March 27th so I can have all the materials ready for you.

I hope to create with you soon!

Friday Mashup, Flower Shop, and Petite Petals

Here are a few cards that I created for this week's challenge on The Friday Mashup.  This week, the FM folks gave us a challenge of creating a card/project with flowers or that's monochromatic, or mash-it-up and do both.

I am not sure if this counts as a monochromatic card or not.  I do have the Crumb Cake base, but I also have Perfect Plum, Pale Plum (retired), and Elegant Eggplant Ink.

I used Flowering Flourishes in Crumb Cake ink on the base.  Then I used the Window Frames Collection and have a Perfect Plum base.  On top of that I have a Very Vanilla Window Frame on which I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Birthday.  I have lots of flowers in plums, stamped in eggplant and topped with pearls.  The flowers are from both Flower Shop and Petite Petals.  These flowers go so well together!
Here's another take on the card with even more flowers.

While the world is screaming for spring to come, I am just fine with the snow falling outside!  More snow days for me!  :)
