This week over on The Friday Mashup, we were given Erica's blue challenge: to use Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade, and Gumball Green. OR we could make a project using rectangles. OR we could mash-it-up and do both.
This quilted card popped into my head right away as what I wanted to create for the challenge. Before I even started creating it, I realized... duh... these are squares, not rectangles... But I decided to go for the card anyway. I mean, hey, I know I got the colors right!
As you can see, I embossed the Marina Mist in the chevron embossing folder, I embossed the Gumball Green with the stripes embossing folder, and I embossed the Lucky Limeade in the polka dots. I left the Pacific Point smooth.
The "quilted" layer is on a layer of Marina Mist, which is on a layer of Gumball Green, which is on a layer of Pacific Point.
I added a almost gumball grosgrain ribbon. Then I used my jewelry tag punch and my Tiny Tags set to create the sentiment (Pacific Point stamped on white). I punched out a tag in each challenge color and tied that on with white baker's twine.
I really love it!
Thanks for looking!

Oooh, I love all your yummy colored squares! Looks like a fabby quilt! Glad you played along at The Friday Mashup this week!
Squares are a subset of rectangles, right? Love all those colors together - would make a great baby quilt! Thanks for joining the Mashup this week.
LOL Don't feel bad. I kept trying to use squares at first too and finally gave up and just used the colors. This is an adorable card. I love the mix of textures and colors! Thanks for joining us at The Friday Mashup.
