Spring is Coming Card Class

This card class will be proof that spring is coming!  This card set features 8 cards, most of them are blooming with spring flowers.

The Rich Razzleberry based card have beautiful, easy to create, 3D flowers.
 More flowers...
 More flowers...
And more flowers.  I also added one pennant card because they're so hot right now.

I am offering this class on Friday, March 7th at 4:00.  We'll make these 8 flower cards for $20.00.

Please let me know if you're coming by March 6th so that I can have all your materials ready for you.

I'm looking forward to creating with you!

Dynamic Duos Color Challenge

This is my second run at the Dynamic Duos color challenge this week.  This card isn't too different from my first attempt.

The base is white.  The next layer is a black embossed layer.  Then on top of that is this funky shaped white piece (which I am counting as my fun shape on the card).  I used a post-it to note to mask off the top of the funky shape, then stamped the flower over and over again in black on the bottom.  Then I added some daffodil ribbon, some daffodil ink sponged around the edges, and a daffodil button to compliment the sentiment, which is stamped in black.  I love it!

'Tis the Season 10... Sketch Challenge!

Can you believe that 'Tis the Season has hit the double digits in the number of challenges it's offered? How cool is that?

This one is my favorite take on this challenge, using the Northern Flurries embossing folder.

This is the second card I made following this sketch.  This one is cool, too, with a "merry winter" sentiment.  I just think I like the one with fewer snowflakes on it.

But I do like the little fancy sentiment on this one...

Here's a closeup of that...

Can you tell what I used to make it?

I used the very end of the modern label punch, then re-inserted it in the punch on a scrap "arm" to make the little sentiment.

Of course, I popped that up, along with the hexagon snowflakes.

Why don't you head on over to 'Tis the Season and play along with us?  Come on... you know you want to...

The Friday Mashup and the Dynamic Duo Two-Fer

This card is my take on the challenges on both the Friday Mashup and the Dynamic Duos this week.  Oh, how I love a two-fer...

This week the ladies have a sketch challenge for us.  We can follow that or add some spritz or spray or mash-it-up and do both.  I chose to simply follow the sketch.  I used this week's color challenge on Dynamic Duos to dictate the colors I would use: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, and, of course, my neutral, Whisper White.

I used my oval and a fancy oval cut out using my big shot and nestibles.  I stamped my newest stamp in back on the bottom of the oval.  I added the sentiment and popped it up on a daffodil oval.  I added some ribbon and bling.  I also added the embossed oval on the white bottom layer.  Tre' chic!

Thanks for looking!

'Tis the Season, Challenge 11

For challenge number 11, the designers on 'Tis the Season have given us a photo challenge.

Now, initially, I S.T.R.U.G.G.L.E.D. with this challenge.

But then, I kind of got into the idea of being inspired by things that are in the picture.  Let me explain...

Obvi, the ornament is from the sleigh full of ornaments.  I chose to use Tempting Turquoise because of all the blue in the pic.  I stamped the ornament in sliver ink, which is, I know, really hard to see in this picture...  I used the pine branch because of the pine in the pic.  I put some bling on the ornament because of the glass and mirror in the picture.  Then I used these framelits because of the tray, which also dictated the colors of the card, Crumb Cake for the base and Chocolate Chip for the bottom part.  I used silver string to attach the ornament to the pine branch.

I tried to get a better pic...

Anyway, what this taught me was to really get into these photo challenges and let the ideas flow...

Why don't you give it a try!  Head on over to 'Tis the Season blog challenge and see what the photo says to you!

Here's the photo you have to work with...
