May Class- Anytime Cards

 This is the first card class for May... anytime cards!

This is a small class: four anytime cards.

As always, I have sentiment options for each card, but it's a fun, versatile set that will guarantee you have a card for that special occasion.

The one card says "happy birthday" but there are several other options you can use if you don't want a birthday card

This class will be offered on Friday May 10th at 4:00 or Saturday May 11th at 10:00 am.  If these dates don't work for you and you'd like to do the class on the weekend of the 3rd or 4th, let me know.  We can make it work!

The price is $10.00 for the four cards and envelopes.

Please RSVP by  May 8th to give me enough time to have all the materials ready for you.

Black and White Polka Dots

 In the effort to relocate my mojo, I decided to use the scraps of this flocked black and white polka dot paper.  I L.O.V.E. it!

I checked out some of my favorite blogs, and Fab Friday has a great sketch challenge this week that allowed me to use the paper and also the new brads that I picked up.

I turned the sketch on its side, and I am seriously in love wit the way these birthday cards turned out!

 I love everything about how this card turned out!

Check out the ribbon, the brads, the layers of black and white.

This one is a little more simple (no ribbon), but I attached that top layer with the brads in the wrong spot, and I could not move it.  There are no mistakes in my studio.  I turned that little "oops" into a "oohhh!"  I love the elegant simplicity.

I guess I am just full of love today!

Color Challenge Mother's Day Card

I have completely neglected my blog... poor little blog!  I haven't really done many challenges... no, I haven't really done much card making at all recently. My weeks have gotten so packed with other things.  I have to get everything squeezed into the weekends, and I have just not been feeling any creativity at all!

This weekend, I wanted to get back into the studio and be productive.  My mojo is still missing, but I went to all the pictures I've saved and I started CASEing.

 I started working by going to my favorite challenge blog, The Friday Mashup.  

They had a color challenge this week of Sahara Sand, Perfect Plum, and Wisteria Wonder.  The second part of the challenge is to mail or deliver the card to someone special (and that will happen... on Mother's Day).  Or we can mash-it-up and do both.

I often make two cards when I am making one (to increase my production).  I also often make little changes.  In these cards, I made big changes.  I switched colors for each card completely.

I used Papillion Potpourri on this card and the butterfly punches on the one below.  This card has rhinestone bling; the one below has pearls.

Once again, big thanks to the Friday Mashup blog for the inspiration.  It was greatly needed!

A Pick-Your-Own Challenge

Oh.... two weeks in a row I am completing a challenge for the fine folks on The Friday Mashup.  This week is their 100th challenge!  Woo-hoo!  I've had a great time playing each week.  You are my go-to challenge blog. Thanks for your inspiration!  This week their challenge was to pick any of the past 99 challenges!  That was a tough one!

I picked challenge #21, Let's Get Sketchy!  I loved the sketch and I really wanted to use some of my free SAB stuff so my new ribbon and button bundle dictated the colors used for this card.  The second part of the mashup was to emboss.  I've got two patterns on this one...

I used the sentiment from Patterned Occasions.  Can you tell their is Crystal Effects on the latte cup?  There is...

So I was tooling around getting ideas and seeing what was challenges were out there.

The Paper Players this week is featuring a color challenge: Regal Rose, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, and Early Espresso.

I've seen a tons of cards with these banners, and I do love them.

Hi, Friday! I've missed you!

 I created this card for this week's Friday Mashup.  I totally miss you ladies!  I haven't been getting many challenges completed lately.  No really sure why, but I just haven't been feeling the challenge vibe.

I also created it for the last card in my next class, my starring Sale-A-Bration class.  The other 5 cards in the class feature paper, tools, and products from the SAB catalog, and this one features the Patterned Occasions set.

I created two different cards following the same basic sketch.

This one is for the class... a thank you card.

This card is for my nephew's first birthday!  I used just the elephant from the set and added a ball on the trunk of the elephant with a 1 and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

I have just made a bunch of baby stuff, so I wasn't feeling the pull to do that part of the challenge, so I just stuck with the color part of the challenge: So Saffron, Pool Party, Real Red, and a neutral. I picked gray.

I love how this tuned out!

Mom...This One's for You!

 It's a card... it's a gift (of cards)... all in a matching little pocket folder!  It's the first card class in April!

This is the sweet Mother's Day card for mom....
