It has been a long while since I've completed a Friday Mashup. I'm glad to be back!
This isn't a true mashup, as I am only following the sketch that the ladies have for us (and not the school themed part of the mashup), but I love how this turned out! And I have been wanting to use my Stampin' Up set, Sketched Birthday.
I also love these colors, Soft Suede, Pool Party, and Very Vanilla with my Spice Cake DSP.
I had to add the sentiment from Yippee-Skippee, one of my favorite in the set, "Carbs, Schmarbs! Eat the cake."
Finally, inside, I added the Happy Birthday banner from Sketched Birthday.

A Challenge and Design Team Call
I feel like I may have seen this card somewhere else before, and it stuck in my brain. So, here's my take on the beautiful card I remember seeing.
What you can't see is the dictionary words on the page: thanks, thankful... you get the idea.
Then, it happened. That thing that I love. The card evolution. I went from the card above to the this card. You can see the changes that occurred with extra embossed layers. A large burlap bow. I just smile when I see it.
If it makes you smile, too, and you'd like to purchase any of my cards, I'd be happy to help you. Just leave a comment on this post or email me.
Thanks for looking!

Second September class- Simply Sketched? I Say Simply Sweet
I made all 8 of these cards using one of the new Hostess sets called Simply Sketched. I love this set! It's so beautiful and I don't think you can make a bad card with it!
I have been missing my mojo lately so I googled the name of this Stampin' Up set and got tons and tons of beautiful card images to CASE so that's what I did! I added my own touches (you know, to make them mine...), but the web is full of tons of beautiful ideas!
Four of these cards have the bird image on them. This bird is so sweet and charming. I fell in love with them. They beg to be colored using the blender pen to soften the colors up a bit and create a water-colored look. L.O.V.E. it!
There's loads of embossing and piercing and sponging. Seriously. I am in love.
The set also contains 3 flower cards. Again, they beg to be colored with a soft, water-color like technique.
Again, there is embossing and ribbon and cool flocked paper.
The 8th card in the set uses the stem image from the set. Instead of coloring in all the stems (which you could do and it would be so sweet), I used a technique to highlight one section of the stem. It is blank for a personal note.
This class will be offered on Friday, September 27th at 5:00. The cost is $20.00.
If you'd like to purchase a set (made by me), you can leave me a comment telling me what you'd like or message me on Facebook. Each set would be $25.00. If you like one card in particular and want just one (or multiple of one), you can let me know, too.
I look forward to creating with you!
It's all New and Six-Sided
Here is the next class set that I am offering. I hope you feel welcome to come to my class, but if you can't make it, you can purchase this set from me, and I'll make them for you! Also, if you fall in love with one card and want that one (or multiples of that one), you can let me know that, too, and I will take care of you!
The class will be offered on Friday, September 13th at 5:00. You'll make these 6 cards for $15.00. If I create the set for you, it will be $20.00.
The other cool thing about this class is that all 6 cards have new colors: this year's five new in-colors and the sixth card is the new neutral, Smokey Slate and a last year's in-color Strawberry Slush.
In the card on the left, you can see solid in-color hexagons that are embossed in various embossing folders.
The one on the right has the hexagon background embossed with lots of beautifully stamped (and punched out) on the front.
The card to the left has all of this year's colors on one card, plus sweet little white bows.
In the card on the right, we once again have stamped and punched hexagons plus a background of embossed hexagons and a paper ribbon.
The one of the right of this one was CASEd directly from the Stampin' Up catalog. There are such great ideas there! The card on the left has those embossed hexagons again, and it is pierced in both pieces. It's BE-YOU-TEE-FUL in real life.
Please join me on the 13th, or if you really want to make this set and you can't make it, you can let me know, and I'll prepare a set for you, and we can arrange another time to meet.
I hope to create with you soon!

Flying on the Wings....
This is the second class for July. Yes... we are flying on the wings of butterflies!
All six of the cards we'll be making have a butterfly or several butterflies, and they are all gorgeous and sure to please anyone who receives them.
Below you'll find close-ups of each card.
The class will be offered twice:
Wednesday, July 24th at 5:00
Friday, July 26th at 5:00
You'll make 6 cards for $18.00.
You may not know that it takes me several hours to cut and prep the materials for each class. Because of the timing of these classes and my crazy summer schedule, I need to get ready for this class on Tuesday night. Please RSVP by July 22nd.
It's hard to see the littlle, itty, bitty pearls on the the three butterflies on this first card. But trust me... they are there.
I love the simple, clean and simple beauty of the purple, white, and yellow card.
There are rhinestones on the pink and white card.
The blue, purple, and orange card has an embossed butterfly on the front that is be-u-tiful!
There's more bling here, too!
I know you'll love these cards as much as I do! I hope to create with you soon!

By the Tide 8 Card Set
This is the first card set I have for you in July. How awesome is this? A 8 card set with fish, lobster, shell, and a cute little sea horse!
There's a variety of cards here: sympathy, thinking of you, hello my friend, just for you, and more. As always you can customize your sentiment to meet your needs. Most of these would make great man cards. I always need boy birthday cards, too!

I am offering this card set on Friday, July 12 at 4:00.
You'll make 8 cards for $20.00.
Here are closer pictures of each card. I hope you'll come create with me!
I just love that lobster! I'll show you how to watercolor him!
We'll use a masking technique to make these two cards. I love the effect.
Please RSVP by July 10th.

Two-Fer Challenge Card
I have said it before and I'll say it again...
I love a two-fer of any form. Two things in one. I love when I can combine two challenges in one. What's really impessive are those people who have combined bunches and bunches of challenges. How do they do it? My top score is 3 challenges in one.
Anyway, this card meets the challeges is both the Case this Sketch and the Fab Friday color challenge of the week. I've used all 5 In Colors on this card!
This picture is so dark, but it's what I have.
Thanks for looking!
